Job Purpose
The Duty Manager is a key role within LEVEL’s Operations Control Center and is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the daily operation.
The role acts as the central operational coordinator during the shift, liaising with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence, ensure timely decision-making, and minimize operational disruption.
In case of irregular operations, the Duty Manager collects and assesses all relevant information from the involved areas, evaluates available options, and determines or recommends the most effective course of action in line with company objectives. The role balances safety, operational performance, customer impact, crew and aircraft constraints, cost, and recovery opportunities.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
Actively manage and coordinate the daily operation across all relevant areas, including Flight Dispatch, Crew Control, Ground Operations, Customer Response, Maintenance, Network Control, airports, handling agents, fuel providers, and other operational stakeholders.
Monitor operational performance during the shift and proactively drive actions to meet or exceed key operational KPIs, including punctuality, regularity, customer impact, and operational stability.
Identify operational risks early and ensure timely escalation, coordination, and follow-up with the responsible stakeholders.
Lead the operational coordination during disruptions by collecting all relevant facts, consulting the required stakeholders, assessing options, and driving the most effective recovery plan.
Support sound operational decision-making by ensuring that decisions are based on complete, accurate, and timely information.
Ensure clear communication between all involved parties during normal and disrupted operations.
Follow up on agreed actions and ensure that operational decisions are executed effectively.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the OCC environment.
Main Relationships
The Duty Manager reports to the Head of OCC & Crew Operations and works within the iOCC in close coordination with all operational stakeholders required to ensure a safe, punctual, and efficient operation.
Key relationships include Flight Dispatchers, Crew Controllers, Ground Operations, Maintenance, Network and Customer Recovery, airports, handling agents, fuel providers, and other service providers involved in the daily operation.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant operational experience.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an airline Operations Control Center or similar operational environment.
Experience in disruption management, operational decision-making, stakeholder coordination, and airline recovery processes is highly desirable.

The Duty Manager position is based in LEVEL’s OCC at the Barcelona headquarters in Viladecans.
The role requires flexible working hours and participation in a shift-work system, rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays, as flights may operate at any time of the day.
Knowledge of AIMS, LIDO, and Resiber would be considered an asset.
