Job Purpose
The RM Systems Specialist supports the Revenue Management team in the day-to-day calibration of the Revenue Management System (RMS), the automation of manual processes, and the development of the KPI framework. This role blends strong data analytics skills with growing expertise in RM systems, enabling the Pricing and Inventory teams to work faster, smarter, and with better data.

Main Responsibilities - Tasks
1. RMS Ownership & Technical Strategy
System Configuration & Calibration: Support the administration and fine-tuning of the Revenue Management Systems (AirRM & PROS), assisting with demand forecasting models, influence factors, and optimizer settings.
Business Rule Management: Support the implementation and validation of RM business rules, ensuring system configurations align with commercial and operational objectives.
Data Integration & Quality Assurance: Validate data flows between the PSS, RMS, and external data sources (e.g., Infare), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely availability for Revenue Management processes.
2. Process Excellence & Business Automation
Automation Projects: Design and build automation scripts and tools (SQL, Python, RPA) to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks and free up analyst time for higher-value work.
System Enhancements & Testing: Coordinate and execute functional testing for RM system enhancements, configuration changes, and new releases, ensuring solutions meet business requirements before deployment.
Knowledge Management & Best Practices: Develop and maintain the RM knowledge base, documenting system processes and best practices to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.
3. KPI Framework & Performance Auditing
Dashboard Development: Build and maintain the RM “Health Check” dashboard in Power BI, tracking metrics such as Forecast Accuracy (MAPE), Yield Opportunity Loss, and Spill/Spoilage.
Override Analysis: Support “Post-Mortem” audits on analyst overrides to help measure their value-add versus the system’s baseline.
Data Deep-Dives: Analyze no-show trends, cancellation patterns, and denied boarding data to identify revenue opportunities/leakage points.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar).
Experience
Prior experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or in a similar quantitative role is required; prior experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, or the airline/travel industry is a plus, but not a must
Competencies
System Exposure: Familiarity with RM systems (AirRM, PROS, or similar) and core RM concepts (e.g., EMSRb, Dynamic Pricing) is a plus.
Technical Stack:
SQL: Solid working knowledge (BigQuery, Snowflake, or SQL Server) for data extraction and analysis.
Data Viz: Experience with Power BI or Tableau to build dashboards and automated reports.
Coding: Proficiency in Python or R for automation and predictive modeling is highly valued.
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable investigating why numbers move and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Communication: Able to work closely with both technical teams and commercial stakeholders
Mindset: Analytical, curious, and driven to continuously learn, with a strong interest in developing expertise in RM and supporting data-driven decisions.
