Job Purpose
The RM Systems, Processes & KPIs Manager is the strategic owner of the Revenue Management "engine." The primary goal is to maximize the efficiency of the Revenue Management System (RMS), streamline operational workflows, and establish a world-class KPI framework. This role ensures that our technology, data, and processes are perfectly aligned to enable the Pricing and RM teams to achieve peak CRASK performance and network profitability.
The RM Systems, Processes & KPIs Analyst reports to the Head of Revenue Generation.
Main Accountabilities
1. RMS Ownership & Technical Strategy
System Calibration: Lead the administration and fine-tuning of the Revenue Management Systems (Air Rm & PROS). Manage demand forecasting models, influence factors, and optimizer settings.
O&D Logic & Inventory: Oversee the technical transition and maintenance of Origin & Destination (O&D) controls, ensuring the Bid Price logic is effectively capturing the network value of every seat.
Data Integration: Ensure seamless data flow between the PSS, the RMS, and external pricing feeds like Infare.
2. Process Excellence & Business Automation
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Design and enforce the "RM Playbook," standardizing how analysts interact with the system (e.g., handling seasonal peaks, major events, or tactical cancellations).
Automation Roadmap: Drive the automation of repetitive tasks using SQL, Python, or RPA to shift the team’s focus from manual data entry to strategic decision-making.
Pricing Filing Liaison: Work closely with the Pricing team to ensure that fare structures in ATPCO are correctly interpreted by the RMS inventory logic.
3. KPI Framework & Performance Auditing
Advanced Analytics: Develop and maintain the RM "Health Check" dashboard using Power BI, monitoring metrics such as Forecast Accuracy (MAPE), Yield Opportunity Loss, and Spill/Spoilage.
Override Impact Analysis: Conduct "Post-Mortem" audits on analyst interventions (overrides) to measure their value-add versus the system’s baseline.
Continuous Improvement: Identify revenue leakage points through deep-dives into no-show trends, cancellation patterns, and denied boarding data.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
System Mastery: Deep functional knowledge of Air RM / PROS and advanced RM optimizers (e.g., EMSRb, Dynamic Pricing algorithms).
Technical Stack:
Expert SQL (BigQuery, Snowflake, or SQL Server) for complex data extraction.
Advanced Data Viz: Mastery of Power BI to build automated commercial cockpits.
Coding: Proficiency in Python or R for predictive modeling and process automation is highly valued.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot why an optimizer is behaving in a certain way and translate that into a business solution.
Communication: Ability to act as a "translator" between the IT/Data Science teams and the Commercial leadership.
Key Performance Indicators (The "Owner" of these metrics)
System Forecast Accuracy: Improving the delta between predicted and actual demand.
Optimization Efficiency: Maximizing the "Revenue Opportunity" captured by the RMS.
Process Lead Time: Reducing the time it takes to implement network-wide changes.
Data Integrity: Minimizing discrepancies between PSS, RMS, and BI reporting.
