Supply Chain Manager – Engineering & Maintenance

Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager – Engineering & Maintenance ensures the efficient procurement, storage, repair, and distribution of aircraft parts, tooling, and consumables to support the LEVEL’s long-haul fleet operations. The role is operationally focused, with responsibility for day-to-day material availability, vendor coordination, and logistics execution to keep aircraft serviceable, minimize AOG time, and control costs.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
Material Planning & Availability
- Plan and monitor material requirements for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely availability of spare parts, rotables, repairables, consumables, and tools across bases and outstations.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to prioritize critical needs and minimize operational disruption.
Procurement & Repair Management
- Execute purchase orders for parts, consumables, and tooling within delegated authority.
- Manage the repair cycle of rotables and components to maintain adequate pool stock and turnaround times.
- Work with approved vendors, MROs, and OEMs to resolve delivery, quality, or warranty issues.
Inventory & Logistics
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to avoid shortages and excess holdings.
- Oversee daily logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, bonded storage, and distribution.
- Manage urgent AOG shipments to ensure rapid delivery of critical parts worldwide.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all materials are sourced, handled, and documented in compliance with EASA requirements.
- Maintain traceability and certification of aircraft parts in line with continuing airworthiness standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to material management.
Operational Reporting & Improvement
- Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, vendor performance, repair turnaround times, and AOG response.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in material planning, logistics, and vendor coordination.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Supervise a team of supply chain officers/coordinators handling purchasing, logistics, and stores.
- Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and line stations to align supply chain activities with operational needs.
- Escalate critical risks or shortages to senior management with recommended mitigation actions.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
- 5–8 years’ experience in aviation supply chain/material management, ideally within an airline or MRO.
Competencies
- Hands-on knowledge of aircraft parts procurement, repair cycle management, and AOG logistics.
- Familiarity with EASA Part-145 and Part-M (or FAA equivalent) requirements.
- Practical experience with ERP/MRO systems (AMOS, SAP, Ramco, or equivalent).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
